Michelle Malkin has created a John Doe Manifesto movie. Actually, she's overdubbed some stuff about The Flying Imams (the what?) and this John Doe fellow over the old "I'm Spartacus" scene, which has an attractive, but probably unintentional, Warholian quality to it. On its merits, I can't quite figure out how the metaphor works, though. The Imams, evidently, are the Roman Republic, and America is The Slaves, and John Doe is Kirk Douglas, or possibly Michelle Malkin, who makes a brief, hair-flipping cameo, and what I cannot for the life of me figure out is why you would choose as the symbol of your movement a dude who totally failed in his endeavor and got himself and all his buddies crucified to boot.
