Yeah, I'm with the pantload. I think we can expect Biden or Leahy or Levin or one of the usual gang of inverts to trumpet a truly ferocious cluck or two, probably this Sunday on one of the gasfests. And somebody might even talk up a special bipartisan blue-ribbon commission!

bbbbbut Senator Kennedy called it a scandal! Aaaaand Jane Harman demanded an investigation! An investigation! And there are like, so many diaries at Kos about how it's really going to bring down the administration this time for real! Rumors say FDL is even going to start urging their readers to call their representatives!

You silly anarchists are really going to feel embarrassed two weeks from now, when Bush and Cheney are impeached, habeas corpus is restored, telecoms are punished for breaking the law, campaign finance reform blunts the power of moneyed interests, gitmo is emptied, the troops are withdrawn from Iraq, our status in the world is restored to the high level it was at right before the Iraq disaster but after the smashingly necessary wars in Afganistan, Bosnia, and Iraq the first time; plus, we'll have cheap, effective healthcare!

We've turned a corner here (and if, by some chance, things don't significantly change, then we'll turn the corner for real this time with only 17% MORE democrats, provided our current crop gets 12.2% BETTER (which they will, thanks to people-powered politics). )

Boy, won't YOUR face be red. GO DEMOCRATS!
