I'm Taking My Cocaine, and I'm GOING BACK TO GREENSBURG!

Feathers. Ruffled. I especially like the part about America enabling the Jews to win World War II.

Oh, my. I'm pretty sure that link-backs to detritivores is not kosher, let alone legible.

Oh lordy, he sure does like to curse, don't he? RABBLE! RABBLE RABBLE! Good for you man, marking us for cowards will surely keep the rest of the naive twats in line. If disengaging from the process is cowardice, then baby, I am a coward, and proud of it.

Oh, this comment is just FABULOUS:
"A commenter elsewhere had to say this : "Hell, I’m with IOZ on this…what? Write polite letters to our “elected” officials? Wear a cute little awareness ribbon? How about a candlelight vigil…from a photographic perspective, they’re very striking.

Do what pleases you to undermine the system…because until large masses of people are ready to start smashing the visors of the local cops, ain’t nothing going to happen."

My Reply: True enough- but don’t blame it on those underpaid cops, dicks tho some of them might be.

Riots in the streets might be Statements, but they also make people look like self destructive idiots.

What we need is some Constructive Deconstruction.

Pointed at the right targets of our ire- the antithesis of the bloggers- which, to me is the likes Of Rush, Hannity, and the thousands of other cunts who spew their racism and their faux violence on the airwaves every day. Let them Reap what they have sown.

It's easy to blame inaction on every one else. The truth is, we know riots in the street aren't going to Solve anything. Guillotines sound good, but they just make way for the even worse element that follows such chaos.

Constructive Deconstruction. The only inaction you need concern yourself with- IS YOUR OWN. Do as thou wilt."

Constructive Deconstruction! Man, the Republicans oughtta just throw in the towel now if this is the kind of intellectual warfare they're up against. They're DOOMED!

Yeah, IOZ. Ya gotta do something. It's important. Moreover you must do as he says or you will feel the slings and arrows of outrageous blog postings. You have been warned!

Can we string up whatever asshole invented concept of "rants"? It was Dennis Miller, wasn't it?

your post linking to the gax-tax holiday is maybe worth reading for said blogger.

vote democrat no matter what... right. am i nuts or does hrc sound like she's running on the gop ticket?

i would do something, but i don't have the sixty votes needed to break a filibuster or overturn a veto.

What was funny for me was that at first I had no idea whose side he was on--I thought he might be angry at the mainstream liberals who are always telling people to their left to shut up and not screw things up for St. Obama. I was all set to sympathize, and then found out he's a rabble-rouser for the Democrats. Man the barricades, everyone.

It is about winning the class war in America by defeating the Republican party.

This would make me laugh if it didn't make me want to cry.

The 1:47 anonymous was me. I'm not with IOZ--I'm going to vote Democrat myself in November. But I don't have illusions about this or not big ones anyway--it's just lesser of two evilism that motivates me, not anything resembling the audacity of hope.

What's funny about this is that no matter how often Hillary and Obama make it abundantly, perfectly, transcendently clear that they will toe the Johnson/Nixon/Ford/Carter/Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush imperialist line in every respect, liberals persist in their credulous incredulity. "Oh, they're only saying that to get elected" -- ah, so immediately after the swearing-in, they would reveal themselves as liberal humanists in disguise? "Gotcha, corporate donors! You been punked!"

No. Not even Mr. Faded really thinks that. And yet he has the unmitigated gall to cast his manufactured outrage in support of a slightly more-muted-slash-less-honest imperialism as the moral parallel of standing up to the Third Reich.

Jesus H. Motherfucking Christ on a pogo stick. Our politics aren't just broken. They're smashed into tiny little fragments, and the fragments don't even know what they are.

ain't America grand?

TGGP said...

Was it neo-conservatives that invented imperialism? I'm not so good on my history, but I guess before GWB all was goodness and light.

Anonymous said...

tggp, didn't you know that? America was a shining beacon of hope and justice, like Superman's dick. Then Dubya came along and turned us into Lex Luthor's taint.

IOZ said...

Superman's dick was shiny?

Anonymous said...

It's a metaphor. And I'm wigged out on Lortabs.

Bizarro Superman's dick might have been shiny though, he always looked like he was made out of some sort of crystal.

wouldn't it's shiny nature be a function of Lois?

1:51 Anony--

I think that was friendly sarcasm. If so, I accept the jab in the spirit with which it was thrown--voting lesser of two evils really sucks as an option. Not voting (IOZ's preference) kinda sucks too, if one side really is slightly less evil. But then when I vote, I just encourage them because it shows all they have to do is be slightly less evil.

So yeah, there's a problem here.

I love how desperate pwoggies have been stressing the "vote for any Democrat" thing this fall because they're marginally better in some areas.

I find that when entering a bargaining session, it's always best to let the other guy know right up front that you'll ultimately accept whatever he tells you to accept. Then, there's no hurt feelings when he ends the haggling by giving you the original price plus thrity percent.

So you go, pwoggies. Keep on letting the Dems know just how desperate you are. Promise to vote for them no matter what. And act surprised when they don't bother doing a damn thing for you since they know what weak-willed schmucks you are.

IOZ said...

True, Jim, so very true.

TGGP said...

An individual vote will not have any effect. Voting for the lesser of two evils is like getting Saddam/Stalin tattooed on your ass because at least he's not Hitler/Khomeini. Have some dignity, people.

Selling? Shit, I think I owe some money.

Anonymous said...

Hate to break it to you, but nonvoting hasn't exactly helped either. Lots of people don't vote and while that's fine with me, it's also fine with the politicians. Trouble is that people don't vote for lots of different reasons--you need to unify the nonvoters behind a banner of total disgust with US imperialism and then I'd be tempted to give up my lesser of two evilism and swing over to your anti-party. But just a few like-minded people in a comment section of a blog isn't much of an anarchist movement.

Donald

la Rana said...

Shorter Donald:

"Give up on your apathy because you won't get anything done!"

Anonymous said...

Whichever one of you is "incgnfcnt" over there, bravo, this is just brilliant:
"hmph. you make the mistake of substituting apathy for acknowledgment. your ilk looks to the democratic party as a vehicle for the change you consider necessary to move us towards notions of a entirely mythic america, despite constant demonstration of the elected democratic party's disinterest in doing anything apart from maybe being a slightly more milquetoast version of bushite policy. furthermore, humanity has reached a point where her myriad problems have begun to snowball much beyond her control; the dilution and abandonment of your political will in our vaunted democratic system combined with the fact that you're all agitating for changes that are either basically irrelevant or completely wrongheaded in the face of the actual nature of the collective crisis of earth at present renders your criticism of those of us who actually acknowledge reality completely absurd."

I predict the witty reposte to this devastating decimation of his position will be something along the lines of MO BETTA DEMOCRATS!
