The number of foreign fighters entering Iraq has dropped to 20 a month, down from about 110 a month last summer and as many as 50 a month earlier this year, according to a senior U.S. intelligence analyst who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the nature of his work.Dear Amit R. Paley,

Choco rations down two grams, doubleplus ungood!
fewer foreign fighters means only iraqis are left, and an anonymous intelligence official once told me they like us.
Well, they might like us but they hate each other. I'm curious as to how they get those numbers...statistical analysis of those ordering Pashtun or Saudi style felafel in the local souks? Have the Iraqis got a better version of the INS and Border Patrol than we do?
ooh yeah you huntin' snipe there budday? fifty uvem didja say? phewee!
According to our best information, exactly 21.2 foreign fighters entered Iraq last month. Down from the January numbers, 48.7, and way down from last year, where we guessed that 105.4 entered.
Did I say "guessed"? No, sorry, that was a "best estimate of top secret senior skilled intelligence analysts".
So, they know it is 20 peeps a month. They see them, they count them. Perhaps they could snap their pictures, take down their name, cell number, home address, and an emergency contact number too.
Or, since they KNOW it is 20/month, why aren't they simply gathering these "hoards" up and putting them into a truck and driving them back to the border?
I really wonder where our 4th estate has found so many reporters who are gullible and simple-minded and display an abject craving for approval of those in power.
Yes, yes I know that's a feature not a bug. But still where did they find so many of them, are they test tube babies? Was DNA manipulation involved? Inquiring minds want to know.

If your game plan involves nixing the eastern border in setting up the Byzantine New World Freedom State, "foreign" just becomes semantics. Something tells me when Dwight Eisenhower signed off on the Louisiana Purchase from the Russians, he sure as shit didn't care that across that line there were Choctaws and Chippewas and the like, it's moving day Cherokee and, like, right now.
Oh, yeah, you're right, Ike purchased the land, for consideration, it was a mother-fucking contract. Well, guess what Akhmedigjad, we's didn't have no contract and we's gonna breach anyways.

I guess GIs and mercs don't count as "foreign fighters" eh?
You have to apply for a foreign fighting permit at the green zone, you see.
