It is Lovecraft's "Call of Cthulhu," I believe, that begins: "The kindest thing in the universe is the inability of the human mind to correlate its contents."
Somalia’s entire experience with formal government has been one of plunder and resource extraction by the ruling elite. As long as there was a prospect for a new government, each clan had a strong incentive to fight to make sure it was on the receiving, rather than giving, end of the plundering. Once there was no longer the immediate prospect for a new central government the clans began to settle back into their traditional customary and mostly peaceful relationships with one another.
Each period of violent chaos in Somalia has generally centered around outside attempts to establish a new government inside Somalia.
Must be my week of stupid. . AFAIK from first hand experience, second hand experience, and books, there are some cosmetic differences between national socialist way and the national bolshevik way. . However, that (1) the individual is completely subservient to the state (up to and including the breaking of few million 'eggs') (2)for the greater good decided by (3) by the Party (4) under the enlightened leadership of the Grofaz/Carmaci/El Capitan/Atetz Natsii.

Hilarious, just hilarious! Attacking an alleged letter-shift in order to preserve argument by bogey-word. Maroon indeed.

Thought I'd share this here:

I can't vouch for its source, though.
Goldberg should have a long conversation with Franz Biberkopf. Fassbinder moderating of course.

Yeah, I like the way it skewers Jonah Goldberg, yet also manages to make Hitler look bad.

"Must be my week of stupid."
You're being unfair to yourself. A week is much too short.
@mds
True, true, but random insults still do not illuminate the issue for me.
