Buyer's remorse? Eh, probably not.

For the record, I called it. Boo-yeah!

84% of the netrooters from the recent convention approve of obAma?!!! That's a condemnation of the supposed free thinkers on the net. Fuck, that's pathetic. Don't drink the kool-aid or the punch at the next netroots convention ... maybe not even the bottled water. From those stats it's clear that the netroots have been successfully co-opted by the obama administration. Some free thinkers! Did the obama administration treat them all to tasty macadamia nut cookies? I thought that was what separated them from the sycophantic hacks of the msm: they weren't bought off by those tasty macadamia nut cookies. But now we find out that it was only becoz they never were offered them before.

He ought to have an approval rating of about 12 right now with only the very rich and those that can't read approving of him, but we've got a celebrity worshiping culture with a populace that has a collective maturity level of about a 14 year old which childishly has a crush on their American Idol president. Get a room!!!!! You're disgusting!!!!

And I guess we are now applying a "no president left behind" standard and anything better than the abominable bush is a-okay.

So Ioz predicted that Obama would giovern in roughly the same way as all the other post-war presidents, and all other established leaders since the dawn of time -- protect the wealthy, pursue real politik foreign policy objectives, etc -- and he was right!

I think the "BooYeah I Called It" is regarding the 84% Netroots Cheerleading Camp Stamp of Approval. He wasn't predicting how Obama would be like Cheney, he was observing how he already was like Cheney.

I knew it! I fucking knew it. mcCain and Palin just couldn't strike a convincingly reassuring tone.

You're not wrong, Walter. You're just an asshole.

I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand, Dude. Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, Dude, chinaman is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please.

Doesn't surprise me. Go read the comments on mainstream blogs like Balloon Juice or Eschaton sometimes. When any comment the least bit Obama-critical must be prefaced with "I think Obama has done a lot of good things but...", you know this country's online political discourse is as hopelessly tribalistic, as unmoored from nonpartisan facts or values than its offline version.

Will fucking wonders never cease?

Let's just stick to German and refer to this and all future presidents as Seine Majestat.

sigh. yea. I can offer as MY only defense that I was a little skeptical, and am firmly in the 16% who have removed at least part of their head from their ass.
