Well, although I still find his views on most subjects abhorrent, I am obliged to admit that Matt Y. displays shocking good sportsmanship by linking this little weblurgh today.

Y'know, contra what he calls the "Green Lantern Theory of Geopolitics"?

There sure are, but one wonders if they’d wear them. My roommate did relief work in Cambodia for five years. He became friends with a ten year old boy. The boy was always barefoot, so he bought him a pair of Nike shoes. Nikes are made in Thailand, so they are cheap in Cambodia. The kid tied the laces together and wore the shoes around his neck as a status symbol. They were too valuable to actually wear. After that, my roommate gave up trying.; 10:44 PM
