Ahahaha. Pretty please!
This story makes my weekend. A Pentagon flak impotently asserting that a stateless organization ideologically and morally opposed to American foreign policy has an affirmative moral and ethical duty to support and obey the American military is exactly the sort of thing that gives me hope for a better world.

ISSS NOT FAIR!
You think veer kidding und making mit de funny stuff?
What do you need that for, Dude?
90,000 DOCUMENTS FROM FUCKING NEEDY LITTLE URBAN ACHIEVERS! YOU ARE SCUM, MAN!
Sweden. I think we know what kind of people the Swedes are.
Quite the synchronized thing you guys got going here.
Let no one say anarco-types are an undisciplined bunch.
That's us marchin' to monsieur's e-drum.
Clearly, in order to prove our anarchist bona fides, one of us should now disagree vehemently with IOZ and defend the right of the security state to withhold all evidence of its crimes from its victims. Because that'd be, y'know, the anarchist thing to do.
No 'puter expert but I'm thinking it's a safe bet that a 15 MB database file has been copied to a few other parts of the Terrortube by now. But we better bomb Sweden anyhow, just in case.
I demand that the DoD return the trillion dollars it has spent on the Wars on TeRrOr without my permission.
@ The Mathmos
This is a private residence, man!
WHAAT? Order arising outside the scope of our loving government's whip?!?
But..., but..., how is Leviathan oppression gonna be rationalized?
Capt'n Obvious
I wondered why the pentagon cared until I heard that support for the war dropped 5 percent after the leak. They are clearly tracking public support for the war. They think the lesson to learn from Vietnam is you have to control the message and use an all volunteer force. The pentagon has been very successful so far but they still can't force compliance from the ungrateful brown skinned people of the middle east. I don't share your hope. Too much control of the media, too many indoctrination ca...ahh...or I mean Public Schools, not enough dead white American males to bring our leaders to heel. The neo-cons are still running the show. The world's best hope is economic collapse of the evil empire. Wikileaks is great though. Nice to see somebody make our Napoleons sweat a bit for a change. Sibler had some nice thoughts on it.

the neo-whats?
I was being facetious. No need for the set-fire-to-conveniently-abandoned-lone-squad-car routine.
the neo-whats?
Neocons. It rolls off the tongue easier than liberal internationalist does.
I like David Harvey's view, that the neo-cons are merely the grumpy, hairy Mr Hyde to neoliberals' Dr Jekyll. With Dr Jekyll being only marginally less violent and irrational, or simply better at hiding it from the rubes.
But even that distinction is shaky at best.
Dennis: I told you, we're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to be a sort of executive officer for the week...
King Arthur: Yes...
Dennis: ...but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting...
King Arthur: Yes I see...
Dennis: ...by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs...
King Arthur: Be quiet!
Dennis: ...but by a two thirds majority in the case of...
King Arthur: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!
Woman: Order, eh? Who does he think he is?
I have a very bad headache with stuffy head and dry eyes. Question: should I remedy this problem with alcohol? Thanks.....
I'm pretty sure that donning checkered-green outfits and prancing around with bullet-hoses amidst a populace which apparently hates such expressions of freedom is enough to put our brave boys and girls in danger. Like Bo Rama said: Nothing new.
But IOZ!!?! Whashoowedoooo?
I'm with Fuast.
The Neo Cons are all at the Hudson Institute pushing their policies to the dems and publishing articles in the New York Times, the Washingont Post, making rounds on the Sunday talk shows. Do you really think the dems and neocons are arch enemies? LOL. Wolfie and Perle nearly convinced Bill Clinton to start the invasion 3 years before 9/11. Clinton decided to increase the bombing runs instead. The face of the president and party is meaningless. The policies are argued in the think tanks. And whatever the military industrial complex thinks is best for their interests become established policy. The neocons are as influential as ever. They just don't have final say right now. The same clowns will be back at the pentagon and state department as soon as the next Republican president is elected.
What else is he supposed to say?
a) You go girl
b) Kirk, don't open that airlock!
c) Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
Up next, "Defense Department declares Wikileaks.org a terrorist organization" ...
"Morrell didn't say how the U.S. military would respond, if Wikileaks ignores its request."
I bet a couple of surgical strikes on ABBA headquarters will make 'em cough up those stolen documents.
Commander, tear this ship apart until you find those military records! And bring me all leakers; I want them alive!
The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers.
Do I really have to be the one to tell Mathmos not to be fatuous?
Don't be laborious, NutellaonToast.
