The Shirley Bassey Effect

Man, remember how well it worked out the last time America and Europe enforced a no-fly zone and launched a bunch of cruise missiles at a country.

well, you see, there's a right way and a wrong way to kill thousands of people. the US doesn't always have the right answers, but there can be no doubt Quadaffi was going to do it the wrong way.

Just like the moonraker goes in search of his dream of oil, I search for love.

You need a propeller on your head.

Obama is goldfinger or a shot of black bushmills?

I'll take the latter, please. Make it a double.

Fuck this country and fuck our president. Heaven help us.

Well the thing is last time we didn't have a negro in charge.

The difference is that he's a democrat, which means his missles care.

Oxtrot; I traded in my propeller beanie for a tin foil hat decades ago. P.S. IOZ I still can't figure it out.

Somebody, uh, somewhere on the internet, said America sees something on TV and wants it, and I think that's about right. We're like a five-year-old watching Saturday morning cartoons. I suppose this makes Candy Crowley Gargamel.

Nonny, I think he's referencing her success in singing themes for movies whose titles are easily converted to porn.

Wait a minute! They're attacking ground forces? This isn't the no-fly zone I envisioned when I signed on.

How many clues does a guy have to offer? Not about beanies, with or without cecil. But about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTUIHK7gHRE

At least we only have to keep this up until the Plucky Rebels, who we refuse to exclude from the arms embargo, are safe. So yeah.

I'm liking that Saudi Arabia is simultaneously sending troops to quell the Bahraini uprising and to support the Libyan one.

I think we need sanctions, these Libyan kids look awfully well nourished.

No way! I have to be correct! The world of plausibles must bend to my will! All other options: off the table!

oops. sorry.

THX Oxtrot, I only remembered Bassey from the Bond movie songs. Never knew she was titled either. Dame Shirley Bassey.

A friend of mine is for this war because Obama is more honest than Bush.

I give up. I'm tapping out.

I'm for this war because it is about protecting civilians not spreading democracy.

I'm for this war because it is about keeping refugees out of Italy and France.

Anonymous said...

I'm for this war because it is about oil, not about oil.

Anonymous said...

I'm for this war because Bush looks awesome in a codpiece.

President Bush, I mean. As an aside, he's looking awfully tan lately, don't you think? Guess he's gotten some sun since the Gulf of Tonkin incident.

should have stopped there, dipshit.
