Damages

Well I am of the belief that until the Anarchist Utopia © arrives, no one should ever be fired from any job for any reason, really, including incompetence and posthumous absenteeism.  Keep them checks coming.  So obviously I don't think that Lisa Simeone should've been fired.  But what I really, really hope is that Lisa and WDAV will sue.  Name everyone!  Get Juan Williams to bruit the case on FOX.  Shit, you could probably get FOX to pay for your legal team just for shits n gigs.  Drag everyone through the mud!

I’m not surprised at the action of National Pro-corporate Radio – I knew their mission was different from mine several years ago, when they interviewed Bush Gang flunkie/law professor John Yoo about his pro-torture opinions with a straight face, without presenting any opposing views.

Lisa Simeone, on the other hand, shows a commitment to truth, justice, and the human way. Good for her, and for WDAV.

By the way, that is NOT a picture of Lisa Simeone. She is a brunette.

A complaint about blogs in general and this post in specific.

Man, am I getting internet-peeved

...which I admit on the 1-100 scale of "darn, I've got schmutz in my 'stache." to "oh, shit, I've got freedom bombs falling on my head!" rates only about a two...

But, yes, where was I? ...internet-peeved about bloggers that link me to the comments section of what they're blogging about, rather than the actual thing they are blogging about, forcing me to find whatever button or url-editing might actually get me to whatever blogger was actually discussing and/or mocking.

Ok, now that I've had my complaint huff and gone to actually figure out who Lisa Simeone is and what the heck you're talking about, my only comment is that, while in general agreement with IOZ's views on firing, I do think that any reporter that is found talking with politicians should be summarily executed via drone bomb.

Adding, on a somewhat less sarcastic note, I frankly applaud this decision by National Plutocrat Radio*. It's exactly the kind of move to build the "Love me, I'm a liberal" reputation they deserve.

*Over on some other Internet place, I actually read someone refer to NPR as "National Palestinian Radio," fergawdzakes. I briefly considered that I was being unfair in my moniker, but then "Marketplace" came on.

@Rojo

Lisa Simeone is not a reporter.

I can't believe none of you are sympathetic to NPR. What if Tom Ashbrook had to interview the Capitol Police officer whose nightstick puts Lisa Simeone in the hospital? Can you imagine how awkward that would be for "On Point"?

@Pepe Nowhere in my comment does it suggest that I thought she was a reporter. She is excluded from my drone bomb plan.

I thought opera lyrics were all about the sanctity of property rights. Hard to know, since they're not written in proper English. Anyway, if my hunch is right, it's obvious that Simeone had to go.
